What should I do if I am unable to create a user account?

Please follow this checklist if you encounter any problems during registration:

Have you already created a MyNISSAN account using this email address? If yes, you cannot register again. Select ""Forgot Password"" to reset your password and sign in.

  • Check spelling: Is your email address spelled correctly?

  • Complete all fields: Have all mandatory fields been filled out?

  • Verify password: Is your password correct?

What should I do if I don't receive the confirmation email?

The confirmation email should arrive in your inbox within a few minutes. If it hasn't arrived:

1. Verify that your email address was entered correctly.

2. Check your spam or junk folders.

3. If you still haven't received it, please contact our Customer Services team at 1800-209-3456 or user can click on the Contact Support option in the app. This link will take the user to the Need Help page where the user can contact the service desk.

Which smartphones are compatible with the MyNISSAN app?

The MyNISSAN app is compatible with most iOS and Android smartphones. Please check the Google Play Store (for Android) or the Apple App Store (for iOS) to confirm compatibility. Ensure your device is updated to the latest software version before downloading the app.

Is MyNISSAN Services available for all Nissan models?

MyNISSAN is available only on vehicles equipped with a compatible infotainment system. Please refer to the compatibility list or contact your Nissan dealer to confirm whether your vehicle supports the service.

Can I change the language in the MyNISSAN app?

DATA PROTECTION AND SECURITY

My smartphone has been stolen. How can I protect my personal data?

If your smartphone has been stolen, please contact Nissan Customer Support immediately. They can remotely unlink your vehicle from your MyNISSAN account to prevent unauthorized access. Once the vehicle has been unlinked, your vehicle data will no longer be accessible through the app.

How can I protect my data when I sell my vehicle?

When you sell your vehicle, ensure you deactivate all connected services and unlink the vehicle from your MyNISSAN account. This removes your personal data and allows the new owner to register the vehicle using their own account. Once the vehicle is removed, your trip history and associated vehicle data will no longer be available to the new owner.

What happens if I decline the privacy pop-up message when I start my vehicle?

If you decline the privacy consent message, Privacy Mode is automatically enabled. In this mode, your vehicle data is not shared with the MyNISSAN app. As a result, certain connected services, such as vehicle location, remote control functions, and other data-driven features, may be limited or unavailable.

How does 'My Car Finder' work?

My Car Finder allows you to view your vehicle's current location through the MyNISSAN app, provided the vehicle is within an area with adequate network coverage.

How accurate is the displayed parking location?

The displayed parking location is determined using your vehicle's GPS data. For the most accurate location, ensure your vehicle is parked in an area with good GPS and network coverage. Environmental conditions and signal availability may affect location accuracy.

How can 'My Car Finder' help me find my vehicle?

Open the MyNISSAN app and select the Map section from the menu. The app will display your vehicle's latest available location, allowing you to easily locate it. You can also generate walking directions to guide you to your vehicle.

After selling my vehicle, can the new owner access my parking location or location history?

No, the new owner cannot access your parking data provided you remove your personal data before transferring ownership.

Before selling your vehicle:

  • Open the MyNISSAN app and go to Profile.

  • Select your vehicle and choose Remove this vehicle from the app.

Once these steps are completed, the new owner will not have access to your parking location, trip history, or any other personal vehicle data.

REMOTE CONTROL

How does the Remote Door Control service work?

Remote Door Control allows you to remotely lock or unlock your vehicle using the MyNISSAN app. You can also check your vehicle's current lock status to see whether it is locked or unlocked.

How far away can I be from my vehicle to use the lock/unlock service inside Remote Controls?

You can use Remote Door Control from virtually anywhere, provided both your smartphone and your vehicle have a stable network connection.

For the feature to operate successfully:

  • Your smartphone must have an active internet connection.

  • Your vehicle must be in an area with adequate mobile network coverage (for example, the service may not work in underground car parks or areas with poor signal).

How long does it take for the vehicle to lock or unlock remotely?

Under normal network conditions, the Remote Door Control feature locks or unlocks your vehicle within a few seconds.

If the request takes longer than expected, ensure your vehicle is parked in an area with good network coverage and that both your smartphone and vehicle have an active connection.

SERVICES ACTIVATION / DEACTIVATION

How do I activate MyNISSAN Services?

You can activate your MyNISSAN account by following the step-by-step instructions given below:

Step 1: Download and install MyNISSAN app from the Google Play Store/ Apple Store

Step 2: Create an account in the app OR sign in if you already have one.

Step 3: Enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) in the app

Step 4: Get the pairing code/OTP from your infotainment system. You will receive a pairing code on the infotainment screen. Input the code into your app

Step 5: Return to the app and accept the Terms & Conditions. Once accepted, the services should be activated within 72 hours to 24 hours for consistency

How long does it take for my services to be activated?

In most cases, your connected services are activated within a few minutes. However, activation may take up to 24 hours in some cases.The vehicle needs to be driven during this time.

To help ensure successful activation:

  • Make sure your vehicle is in an area with good network coverage.

  • Refresh or restart the MyNISSAN app after activation.

Can I temporarily disable data sharing?

Yes. You can temporarily stop sharing vehicle data at any time.

If no user is created, each time you start your vehicle, you will be prompted to allow data sharing. Simply decline the request to prevent vehicle data from being shared with the MyNISSAN app for that driving session.

If user is created, then it is required to go to: Settings-Privacy-Data sharing with Nissan and its partners-Privacy settings-Refuse all (or Customise).

Notice Privacy settings will be remembered next time vehicle is started with same user.

Why are my connected services not working?

The most common cause is a poor or unstable network connection, as MyNISSAN app requires internet connectivity for many connected features.

Please check the following:

• Ensure your vehicle is parked in an area with good mobile network coverage.

How do I connect my vehicle to the MyNISSAN app?

When you are activating your MyNISSAN account. Your vehicle will be connected to it. Step-by-step instructions to activate your MyNISSAN account are given below:

Step 1: Download and install MyNISSAN app from the Google Play Store/ Apple Store

Step 2: Create an account in the app, sign in if you already have one.

Why is my Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) not being accepted?

If your VIN is not being accepted, please check the following:

  • Ensure the VIN is entered exactly as shown, including the correct use of uppercase letters.

  • Verify that you have not entered the number 0 (zero) instead of the letter O, or vice versa.

  • Remove any spaces or special characters, as these are not supported.

  • If you are using the VIN scanner in the MyNISSAN app, try entering the VIN manually instead.

Where can I find my pairing code?

You can find instructions on locating your pairing code by referring to the provided guide.

My pairing code is not displayed. What should I do?

If your pairing code is not displayed, please refer to the troubleshooting guide available through the provided link for further assistance.

VEHICLE SELLING / USED CAR PURCHASES

How do I remove a vehicle from my MyNISSAN account?

To remove a vehicle from your MyNISSAN account:

  • Open the MyNISSAN app.

  • Go to Profile and select the vehicle you want to remove.

  • Tap Remove This Vehicle and confirm your selection.

Once completed, the vehicle will be unlinked from your account.

I am selling my vehicle. How do I delete my personal data?

Before selling your vehicle, remove it from your MyNISSAN account to erase your personal data.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open the MyNISSAN app and go to Profile.

  2. Select the vehicle you want to remove.

  3. Tap Remove This Vehicle and confirm your selection.

Removing the vehicle deletes your stored vehicle data, including navigation destinations, trip history, radio presets, and other personal settings associated with your account.

VOICE PERSONAL ASSISTANCE

How do I use the in-vehicle Voice Recognition function?

There are 3 ways to activate Voice assistant

  1. By pressing voice command button in steering wheel

  2. By saying “Ok Google” or “Hey Google”

  3. By pressing Google Assistant icon in infotainment. This is applicable to vehicles with Google-Built In

After activation, the system will prompt you with guidance on how to phrase your request for the best results.

For navigation:

Include the full street address and city name whenever possible.

Example: ""Navigate to Fashion Street, Pune.""

For Points of Interest (POIs):

Include the city name in your request for more accurate results.

Example: ""Find Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium in Delhi."

Can I use my phone's voice assistant, such as Siri or Google Assistant, through my vehicle?

Yes. You can access your smartphone's voice assistant, such as Siri or Google Assistant, through your vehicle.

Before using this feature:

  • Ensure Siri or Google Assistant is enabled on your smartphone.

  • Verify that your phone is connected to the vehicle.

To activate your phone's voice assistant, press and hold the Voice Command button on the steering wheel until your assistant is launched.

No, MyNISSAN app supports only English.

How do I activate Apple CarPlay in my vehicle?

When you connect your iPhone to your vehicle for the first time while the vehicle is stationary, a pop-up message will appear asking whether you would like to connect to Apple CarPlay.

Add your iPhone as a new device through the infotainment system settings.

Apple CarPlay is not working. What should I do?

If Apple CarPlay is not working, make sure to:

  • Confirm Wireless CarPlay is enabled in the car

  • Restart both devices

  • Turn Wi-Fi and Bluetooth ON

  • Forget and re-pair the car

  • Check CarPlay restrictions

Do I need to enable Siri to use Apple CarPlay?

Yes. Siri must be enabled to access the full functionality of Apple CarPlay. In most cases, Siri will be prompted automatically when you connect your iPhone for the first time.

I've connected my iPhone to Apple CarPlay, but all apps are not displayed. Why?

Not all apps are compatible with Apple CarPlay. Only apps that are compatible with Apple CarPlay are displayed on the infotainment screen. Refer to Apple's list of supported CarPlay apps for more information.

Can I use Android Auto with a USB cable?

You can use Android Auto without a USB cable. Nissan recommends using the manufacturer's genuine cable.

You need to plug your smartphone into the vehicle and ensure you have the Android Auto app installed on your phone with a compatible operating system. The Android auto app can be found in the Google Play store.

Android Auto is not working. What should I do?

If Android Auto is not working, try the following:

  • Delete the existing Bluetooth/Android Auto pairing from both your phone and the car, then restart both and pair them again.

If this doesn't work, check:

  • Wi-Fi is turned off on the phone (Wireless Android Auto uses Bluetooth + Wi-Fi).

  • Android Auto app or Google Play Services needs an update.

  • Vehicle software needs an infotainment update.

  • The phone support wireless Android Auto.

I've connected my phone to Android Auto, but all apps are not displayed. Why?

Only Android Auto-compatible apps are available through the infotainment system. Refer to Google's list of supported Android Auto apps for more information.

How can I check if my phone is compatible with Android Auto?

Visit the official Android Auto compatibility page to confirm whether your smartphone and Android version are supported.

How do I set up my Driver profile?

MyNISSAN with Google Built-in allows you to create personalized driver profiles, ensuring your comfort and preferences are automatically applied every time you drive.

To create your profile:

  • Turn on your vehicle.

  • Open Settings (Gear icon) > Users (or tap Switch User if available).

  • Select Add User (+) and follow the on-screen setup instructions.

Personalize your profile:

  • Give your profile a name.

  • Select your preferred language.

  • Sign in to your Google Account.

  • Link your MyNISSAN account (your vehicle must first be added to the MyNISSAN app).

  • Connect your phone via Bluetooth.

  • Add a screen lock (PIN, pattern, or password) for added security.

Customize your driving experience (where equipped):

  • Select your preferred ambient lighting.

  • Download your favorite apps from the Google Play Store. (A mobile hotspot may be required.)

You can create up to five individual driver profiles, allowing each driver to enjoy a personalized experience

How do I secure my in-vehicle Driver Profile?

You can protect your Driver Profile by setting a PIN, pattern, or password. This prevents unauthorized users from accessing or modifying your profile, linked accounts, and personal settings.

Choose a security code that you can remember, as it will be required to access your protected profile.

How do I recover my Driver Profile if I forget my security credentials?

There is no built-in password recovery feature for Driver Profile security credentials. This is designed to protect your personal data.

If you forget your security code, you have the following options:

Option 1 – Factory Reset

  • If your vehicle is already linked to your MyNISSAN account, open the app and navigate to Vehicle Data > Factory Reset.

Option 2 – Use Another Driver Profile

  • If another Driver Profile with administrator access is available, sign in to that profile and perform a factory reset.

Option 3 – Contact Your Nissan Dealer

  • Contact your Nissan dealer or Customer Support for assistance with resetting the infotainment system. Proof of vehicle ownership may be required.

What is the difference between the Admin Profile and other Driver Profiles?

The Admin Profile serves as the system administrator and has full control over Driver Profile management and system settings.

With an Admin Profile, you can:

  • Create, edit, and delete Driver Profiles.

  • Manage user permissions.

  • Change system-wide settings, including display preferences, connected services, and privacy settings.

  • Perform a factory reset of the infotainment system.

What can you do with a Guest Profile?

A Guest Profile provides temporary access to the infotainment system without saving personal preferences or account information.

Any changes made during the session, such as settings, searches, or preferences, are automatically removed when the vehicle is switched off or restarted.

How do I link my existing Google Account to my vehicle?

Linking your Google Account to your vehicle is quick and easy.

To get started:

  • Ensure your vehicle is connected to the internet using in-car Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot.

  • Open Set Up Profile from the notification or Settings > Users.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to create or select your Driver Profile.

  • Sign in with your Google Account when prompted.

  • Review and accept the required permissions.

How do I verify my age with Google?

Google may require age verification before allowing access to age-restricted services.

You can verify your age using one of the following methods:

  • Credit card verification (used only to confirm your age—you will not be charged).

Can I use my vehicle without accepting Google's Privacy Policy?

Yes. You can continue using the basic infotainment features without accepting Google's Privacy Policy, including radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and other core vehicle functions. You can also continue using MyNISSAN app.

However, many Google-powered connected features require acceptance of the Google Privacy Policy, including:

  • Google Assistant

  • Google Maps with live traffic information

  • Google Play Store

  • Personalized Google services and voice commands

What do I need to have to use Google Play apps in my vehicle?

To use Google Play apps in your vehicle, you will need:

  • An active internet connection through a mobile hotspot.

  • A signed-in Google Account.

  • Access to Google Play through your vehicle's infotainment system.

What types of apps are available in the Google Play Store?

You can browse the available apps through the Google Play Store offers a selection of apps optimized for in-vehicle use, including navigation, music, podcasts, messaging, and productivity apps.

Available apps may vary depending on your country, vehicle model, and Google's approval process for Android Automotive OS.

Are video streaming apps available on the in-vehicle Google Play?

App availability and functionality is determined by Google Play store. where supported. Video streaming apps may be available.

For safety reasons, video playback is generally disabled while the vehicle is in motion. Playback is available only when the vehicle is safely parked.

How often are Google maps are updated?

Google Maps itself is updated frequently making sure you’re as up to date as possible.

While Google Maps itself is constantly updated, the version you see in your vehicle may lag. It will still be generally accurate for most situations, but there's a chance newer information might not be reflected yet.

Can I still use Android Auto and Apple CarPlay in my vehicle with Google built-in?

Absolutely Yes. Google Built-in does not replace Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. You can continue using any platform, giving you the flexibility to choose the connectivity option that best suits your preferences.

What kind of questions can I ask in-vehicle Google Assistant?

Google Assistant supports a wide range of voice commands, helping you stay focused on the road while controlling vehicle and connected features.

Navigation and Places:
