NISSAN ADDS MORE EXCITEMENT TO CRICKET BY PARTNERING WITH ICC, SPONSORING ALL MAJOR TOURNAMENTS. NISSAN MAIN ICC SPONSOR UNTIL 2023

Nissan has signed an eight-year deal with the International Cricket Council (ICC) that runs through 2023. The deal includes the ICC Cricket World Cup, ICC Champions Trophy and ICC World Twenty20, as well as Under 19 and Women’s Cricket and qualifying events for the next 8 years. This may seem like a big deal for cricket lover specially in the Indian sub-continent but the global car maker has been involved in sports through UEFA Champions League, Rio 2016 Olympic Games, also their brand ambassador for the GT-R is the world’s fastest man – Usain Bolt.

So what does this partnership mean for the Japanese automaker and for us fans?

Nissan’s latest campaign witnesses cricketer Irfan Pathan bowl over joggers in an unexpected cricket match bringing back nostalgic moments from everyone’s childhood.

Cricket is a religion in India and certainly for those who connect with it, there is nothing beyond the game. But also happens to be the case with cricket lovers globally and targeting this group, Nissan announced its major eight-year deal with the International Cricket Council (ICC) strengthening ties with the global sport as a sponsor. During the period, the automaker will sponsor a host of global events including the Champions Trophy, World Twenty20, Under 19 tournaments, Women’s Cricket and qualifying events, among others.
